Meet Our Kids
Friendship is an important part of a child’s social‐emotional development. From our friends we learn to share, to listen, and to express our feelings. But most importantly, our friends give us a sense of belonging. Read about some amazing friendships that have been developed through The Friendship Foundation and by the support of the SKECHERS Friendship Walk.

Gabe & Thomas
The Friendship Foundation and Skechers bring the community together to support a cause that is very close to my heart, as my brother, Thomas, has autism. I’ve volunteered for 9 years and have witnessed the organization help him and others with disabilities. My favorite aspect of the Friendship Foundation is how it fosters friendships both within the disabled community and between individuals with disabilities and their non-disabled peers.

My favorite programs at the Friendship Foundation are Summer Camp, Beach Day, Movie Night, Dinner with Friends, Xmas Light Walk, Jimmy Foundation Surf Camp, Gingerbread House Making, and Basketball. When I grow up I want to be a doctor and my favorite food is chicken nuggets. I like to see my Friendship Club friends and walk with them at the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk.
