Meet Our Kids

Friendship is an important part of a child’s social‐emotional development. From our friends we learn to share, to listen, and to express our feelings. But most importantly, our friends give us a sense of belonging. Read about some amazing friendships that have been developed through The Friendship Foundation and by the support of the SKECHERS Friendship Walk.

Tara & Sophie

I love many things about the Friendship Foundation, but the thing I love most is the tight-knit community of students and staff who make participating with the Foundation that much better. Whether it's your first or hundredth time at a Friendship Foundation program, everyone will welcome you with open arms and spread positive energy every time. Being able to find and be a part of such a kind-hearted community is rare, and the friendships I have made from it are by far my favorite part. Another reason why I love the Friendship Foundation is because it has inspired me and turned into a true passion.

Hi, my name is Sophie and I will be in 7th grade this year. I love soccer, basketball, hanging out with friends, and riding horses. When I grow up, I want to be a nurse or a teacher. My favorite part about the Walk is walking with friends.
