Our classroom is proud to be participating in the Skechers 17th Annual Pier to Pier Friendship Walk, an event that brings thousands of students, families, and community members together each year in support of children with special needs and public education. The walk stretches from the Manhattan Beach Pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier, offering a fun and meaningful way for us to give back while enjoying our beautiful coastline. Students from our class are joining with the greater Victor Elementary School community to show school spirit, teamwork, and commitment to making a positive difference.
We are walking not only to support a wonderful cause, but also to demonstrate to our students the power of community action. Through participation, our class is learning how collective effort can raise awareness and funding that directly benefits schools and programs across our district. Families and friends can contribute by donating, cheering on the walkers, or simply spreading the word about the importance of the Friendship Walk. By stepping onto the pier together, our students are learning how their small steps connect to something much larger?helping children, strengthening schools, and building friendships that last beyond the event.
Thank you!
