I am so proud to be lacing up my sneakers for my fourth year in a row as part of the Board of Education and District Staff Team at the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk!
I absolutely love my job in our Communications Department, where I spend my days sharing inspiring stories and photos of our incredible students and staff. One of my favorite parts of this walk every year is seeing teams from our entire district join our Torrance Education Foundation for a beautiful morning together. The school spirit, the mascots, the families, and our principals all walking side by side truly exemplify the Healthy Habits and Life Skills we all champion in our Portrait of a Graduate.
This event is close to my heart because it does two powerful things. It fosters friendship and inclusion for children with special needs, and it provides vital funding for public education programs, including the work we do to support our dedicated district staff and schools.
I want to do everything I can to lift up our community and empower kids of all abilities. I would be so grateful if you would consider supporting my walk with a donation, or even joining me as a virtual walker! If you are up for a beautiful morning at the beach, you can also join our team and walk alongside me.
Thank you so much for helping us make a real difference!
